John 10:10
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (AKJV).”
John 17:3
“And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (AKJV).”
Real Life is a King James Bible believing ministry that endeavors to teach the true spiritual meaning of the terms “life” and “eternal life.” Understanding these spiritual terms should have a profound impact on our pursuit of the knowledge of God. Through personal study of the Bible and development of our personal relationship with God, believers have the opportunity to pursue eternal life. John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on his name (AKJV).” Then, in Philippians 3:8-14 Paul says:
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (AKJV).
John and Paul understood the true meaning of life for a believer in Christ. Belief in Christ is not only a means to escape eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire. It is also a means to become eligible to pursue the knowledge of God (and Jesus Christ) through a personal relationship. We experience Real Life when we dedicate ourselves to pursuing this relationship.
Ray Melograne is a New York State public school music teacher who has been saved for most of his life. He regularly attended church, studied musical performance and pursued opportunities to use his musical gifts for the Lord (Christian song writing, worship leading, music recording, etc.).
However, Ray’s personal study of the Bible has led him to several recent changes. He now realizes the importance of studying the King James Version of the Bible, and the problems that can occur within the common practice of church building based Christian fellowship. He apologizes for past blog posts which quote other versions of the Bible. These were written before his current understanding. Ray is currently immersed in deeper study of the Bible in order to understand the truth in areas where he was formerly under the influence of tradition. For a person who makes his living teaching the performing arts, this is proving to be a difficult transition. He will continue to make changes to his website (http://www.raymelograne.com) and his other You Tube channels (Ray Melograne {independent Christian recording artists} and Learning Music with Ray) as the Lord leads.
